That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 1:9
A wonderful example of how God hid his plans - ending with Noah, possibly His best type of the Rapture - the Gospel in Names:
| Name | Meaning |
| Adam | Man |
| Seth | Appointed |
| Enosh | Mortal |
| Cainan | Sorrow |
| Mahalalel | Praised [One] Of God |
| Yared | Descend |
| Enoch | Dedicated |
| Methusaleh | His Death will bring |
| Lamech | Despairing |
| Noah | Rest |
Man is appointed mortal sorrow. The Praised One of God descended, dedicated. His death will bring the despairing rest.
Anytime you read about a door in scripture, take a second look to see if it may be the Rapture door. Examples:
Your dead shall live; together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past. For behold, the Lord comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; the earth will also disclose her blood, and will no more cover her slain.
Isaiah 26:19-21
Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near -- at the doors!
Matthew 24:32-33
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here..."
Revelation 4:1
And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!' Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
Matthew 25:6-10
And He said to them, "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open for us,' and He will answer and say to you, 'I do not know you, where you are from.'
Luke 13:23-25
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
